A particularly useful scholarship to put on the MAssister calendar is the Maxine Williams Scholarship in Honor of Crystal Coleman, CMA (AAMA). It is for AAMA members with a current credential and at least five continuous years of AAMA membership who are pursuing education for professional advancement. The 2026 application deadline is December 15, 2026.
For students, the regular Maxine Williams Scholarship Fund requires enrollment in a CAAHEP- or ABHES-accredited medical assisting program, a minimum 3.0 GPA, and has a May 15 application deadline.
